What is Organic Skin Care?
By Christine Tyler
All skin care is not created equal. That means Organic ones too. Organic in general does NOT have additives such as pesticides and herbicides (chemicals). Many chemicals have been shown to be harmful to your health and can cause things such as allergies, cancer, redness, sores. Organic skin care is made with agricultural oils, herbs, essential oils which are Non GMO, can nourish the skin and make the skin look younger with less wrinkles, acne, crepe, bruising……you get the idea. Choose a skin care that has been certified by a qualified organization such as CCOF. “CCOF is a nonprofit organization that advances organic agriculture for a healthy world through organic certification, education, advocacy, and promotion. Or QAI Quality Assurance International (QAI) is an example of another organization which certifies and inspects. Without the certifier on the label, you the buyer can’t be guaranteed the product has been inspected to Organic Standards. I like to buy USDA Organic certified by a qualified organization, which ensures the product is made with 95% or more organic ingredients. By the way, Aloha Body Care is a Organic company certified through CCOF. You can shop here.
